2020/2021 ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) FULL-TIME PROGRAMMES (FIRST LIST) Admission

*FPI REOPENS OCTOBER 12, 2020*

Authorities of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro have approved the reopening of the institution for the completion of the 2019/2020 academic session which was disrupted in March 2020 in the wake of covid-19 pandemic which ravaged the whole world.

The guidelines for the reopening and modalities for continuous academic activities are contained in a circular released by the registrar Mrs. A. F. Osore as reproduced below:

*RE: SAFE REOPENING OF INSTITUTION FOR ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC*

Sequel to the receipt of the letter from Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Dr. M. A. Kazaure premised on the Presidential Task Team (PTF) assertion on the significant decline in the reproduction number (R-value) for COVID-19 in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Education has directed that arrangements for immediate resumption of academic activities be done.

Accordingly, at the joint meeting of the Academic Board and the Polytechnic Management
Committee held today, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 the Report of the Post Covid-19
Campus Reopening Implementation Committee was approved for the resumption of Academic activities for second Semester 2019/2020 on Friday, October 9, 2020

1.0 Campus re-opens for 2nd Semester Friday, October 9, 2020
2.0 Lectures begin for all Students Monday, October 12, 2020
3.0 Publication of 2nd Semester
2019/2020 Examinations Time-Table Monday, November 16, 2020

4.0 Lectures end for all Students Saturday, December 5, 2020

5.0 2nd Semester 2019/2020 Examination Monday, December 7 -
(Theory & Practical) Wednesday, 30, 2020

6.0 New Session Begins Sunday, January 4, 2021
