This is a true picture of teaching and learning in many Nigerian classrooms today: teachers struggle to teach, and students struggle to learn. This happens when instructional content does not address real needs or solve real problems. Teaching methods remain teacher-centred and one-size-fits-all. Learners’ individual needs and abilities are ignored, instructional materials are scarce, and teacher motivation is low.
This is not the education that will secure the better future we seek. We must rethink our teaching and learning methods.
