Gone are those days, when teachers did it all. This is one part that most teachers run away from.
Dear amazing teachers, in this 21st century creativity and technology, are undoubtedly indispensable in nourishing learners. Therefore, you have to be creative.
HERE ARE A FEW REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD USE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS MORE.
Instructional materials make learning more interesting, practical, realistic, and appealing.
They enable both the teachers and students to participate actively and effectively in lesson sessions.
They give room for the acquisition of skills and knowledge and the development of self-confidence and self-actualization.
It helps to drive learning faster since students remember what they see and feel more than what they just hear.
For visual and kinesthetic learners, learning must be followed up with seeing and feeling for it to make sense.
It also helps to focus learners' attention on the issue at hand as practical and sights can help to drive retention of learning more.

Sometimes, teachers are disconnected when there is no instructional material to direct learners.

GLOBAL EDUCATION INFLUENCER
Receiving this International recognition certificate as a Global Education Influencer, Representing Nigeria has inspired and reminded me not only of the importance of giving back to the communities we live in, but also of the monumental impact and education-related contributions can have on the lives of students, and, in turn, the world.
My largest career goal is to work to use my expertise on a global scale to create lasting change in underprivileged communities through academic innovation, collaboration, and partnership.
Many people around the globe are unable to access high-quality educational training. But it is a wonderful feeling to be part of education influence to learn about different cultures for sharing my ideas with academic experts, and professionals in the world, and have opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others.
My experience is great and memorable. It is full of learning and grooming. Being a Global Educationist, allowed me to meet different kinds of people from around the world and learned many things from them.

CHICKEN CHANGE
For the past few weeks, I have been reflecting on ways to put smiles on the faces of my learners and to become a better version of themselves.
Even though these students are living in underserved communities doesn't restrict them from getting access to quality education with some basic learning materials.
It's quietly unfortunate, to witness students sitting on the floor while teaching is in progress, sitting on the floor to write examinations, as a result of lacking chairs and tables. Wearing impoverished sandals, no money to buy socks. Their uniforms are amputated, no notebooks for writing to the extent of getting textbooks, a child without ordinary pen/pencil, and lots more.
The most depressing aspect of it, are SPECIAL students ( Physically and mentally challenged).
Whereas all these basic learning materials are "EXPENSIVE" for them as a result of the financial status of their parents. Whereas in a "CHICKEN CHANGE" for you.
These students and their parents are not to be blamed but the economic status of the country.
But do you know that with your chicken change, you can "SECURED FUTURE" for a child?
With your chicken change, you can put an everlasting smile on a child's face.
Do you know you can skip that meal to secure a child's life?
Do you know that there is no tendency for some of these students to resume by the next session?
Do you also know that these students are hardly fed in a day?
Thus, with the assistance of you and I. We can "SECURED FUTURE" for these students. Don't forget that nothing is too small, help with your best ability and capability.
