Most civil engineers and builders have blindly followed the western model of building and construction not paying attention to climate change and changes in the standard of materials used in construction works in Nigeria.

A standardized international approach to building and development in support of concrete, steel, and standard templates focused on quick return on investment and quick growth.

Nigeria governments can't subsidized the concrete and steel manufacuring facilities and invest in these industies to grow their production capacity instead they turn a blind eye to substandard materials being sold in the market.
Civil engineers and builders have failed to recognise these changes in the materials used in construction works thereby maintaining the Western standard of construction.
How long shall this continue?
How long shall we continue to have building failures we need to sit up.
