MY THREE YEARS ACCOUNT OF SERVICE

Beloved Constituents of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency,
Today, June 13, 2026, marks exactly three years since you entrusted me with the responsibility of representing you in the 10th National Assembly. I am profoundly grateful to God Almighty and to every son and daughter of Ikom and Boki for the confidence reposed in me.
When I was sworn into office, I made a solemn promise that our representation would be people-oriented, accessible, responsive, and focused on tangible development. I pledged to be a servant-leader who would carry the hopes, aspirations, and challenges of our people to the national stage. So far on this journey, the following are accounts of my service.
LEGISLATIVE INTERVENTION AND ADVOCACY
I have consistently raised issues affecting our constituency and Cross River State on the floor of the House of Representatives. They are as follows:
•Motion on the Nigeria-Cameroon Boundary Dispute to protect Danare and Biajua communities from territorial encroachment.
•Motion on the invasion of Okwa community by Cameroonian nationals, leading to calls for increased security presence.
•Motion for the completion of the NDDC Specialist Hospital in Ikom.
•Motion on the dredging of the Calabar Seaport.
•Motion on the rehabilitation of the Odukpani Junction–Ekot Ekpene Federal Road.
•Motion on the need to establish a unified checkpoint on the Ikom-Cameroon border road.
•Elite Sheriff Corps Establishment Bill focused on forest and environmental asset protection.
•Bill for the establishment of Federal College of Agriculture and Forestry, Okundi.
•Bill for the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Boki.
•Bill for the establishment of a Federal College of Education (Technical), Ikom.
•A Bill for an Act to amend the Labour Act, Cap L1 Law of the Federation of Nigeria, 2024, to regulate strike action, picketing, and solidarity strike to preserve essential services and public safety.
•National Park Service Amendment Bill aimed at creating an independent Okwangwo National Park Unit to unlock tourism and conservation opportunities for our people.
HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
I have facilitated the under listed grants and empowerment initiatives for our constituents because I believe that governance must directly impact lives
•1,000 beneficiaries of Conditional Cash Transfer programmes.
•1,000 beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Nano Grant Scheme.
•Educational support for 400 students across Boki and Ikom.
•Financial grants to 27 Law School students.
•National Directorate of Employment (NDE) programme benefiting over 100 youths.
•ITF Artisan Skill-Up Programme benefiting 50 participants.
•Entrepreneurship and SME support programmes focusing on poultry and Fish farming.
•Training and empowerment of 100 Artisans living with disabilities.
•Distribution of Agrochemicals to 1,350 Cocoa farmers.
•Distribution of Yam seedlings and irrigation pumping machines to encourage dry-season farming.
•Sanitary hygiene education programmes for young girls.
•Three-day medical outreach programme in Nde Ward.
* 48 million naira Christmas and New Year support across the 22 wards of Ikom/Boki.
•Distribution of Food Items to 700 Constituents in need.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND INTERVENTIONS
•Financial and material support was provided to victims of election violence in Mgbabisu.
•₦70 million worth of Relief materials were distributed to victims of the Ikom Market Fire Accident.
*Financial Contribution to communities in support of some community development projects- Okwa, Okwangwo, Beteriko, Abo-Ebam, Okuabang, Bankpor-Irruan, Mfom-Osokom, Egebe Bridge Bumaji, and Arungba communities, Including; Butatong women, Oku-Aro women, Akparabong, Ikom town, yala nkum, Akam, Alesi etc.
EDUCATION SECTOR
Recognizing that education remains the foundation of societal progress, we have facilitated and/or included for renovation:
•Renovation of St. Stephen Primary School, Nnam, Ikom LGA
•Renovation of Community Secondary Commercial School, Okangha, Ikom LGA
•Reconstruction of St. Theresa RCM Primary School, Adijinkpor, Ikom LGA
•Reconstruction of Egononkor/Esaja Primary School, Nde, Ikom LGA
•Construction of classroom blocks at Etikpe Primary School, Ikom LGA
•Construction of classroom block at Alesi.
Boki LGA
•Reconstruction of St. Peter Primary School, Njua Bano, Boki LGA
•Reconstruction of St. Patrick's Primary School, Kakubok, Boki LGA
•Reconstruction of Holy Trinity Primary School, Olum, Boki LGA
•Reconstruction of St. Michael Primary School, Asoben, Boki LGA
•Reconstruction of Government Primary School, Orunghe Bawop, Boki LGA
•Construction of classroom blocks in Bawop and Ubong communities, Boki LGA
•Construction of Classroom blocks in Bekpor-Irruan, Boki LGA

HEALTH CARE SECTOR
Our healthcare interventions include:
•Donation of critical hospital equipment worth ₦350 million to Abo Ebam Health Centre.
•Facilitation of healthcare outreach services.
•Solar power systems for healthcare facilities.
•Support for upgrading healthcare infrastructure across communities.
•Installation of 3Nos of 10KVA Solar panel system in Bansan Isobendeghe health centre, Boki L.G.A.
RURAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Significant projects executed and/or facilitated include:
•Solar streetlights in Ikom 1 in (Olulumo) and Ikom 2 State Constituencies in (Nde)
•Solar streetlights in Boki 1 In (Bnachor/Katabang) and Boki 2 State Constituencies in (Bunyia-Irruan).
•Installation of hundreds of solar-powered streetlights across Okundi, Boje, Irruan, Bawop, Nta-Nselle, Kakwagom, Bashuan, Bendeghe-Afi, Kakwe-Beebo, Yala-Nkum, Ebranta, Isobendeghe and many other communities.
•Installation of transformers in Bawop.
•Rehabilitation of Public Boreholes across Boki communities.
•Construction of market shops at Edor Market.
•Completion of Bokalum Town Hall.
•Construction of a Guest House in Ekpache Nkome, Ikom.
•Construction of Tourist Guest house in Buancho, Boki.
•Construction of Principal's Quarters in Okubushuyu.
•Construction of Mini Stadium at Ekumba Kakwagom.
•Road Earthworks on Kakwagom-Oku Borum-Njua road.
•Road construction and culverts on Ntamante/Batang-Agba road.
•Opening and improvement of Katchuan-Kakubok road.
•Support for the construction and development of Okwa/Okwango access roads.
TELECOMMUNICATION CONNECTIVITY
To bridge communication gaps and improve economic opportunities, we facilitated the installation and approval of multiple MTN network mini-masts across communities in the Federal Constituency, including:
Kakwe Beebo, Bajiki, Bakum, Bamba, Buanchor, Kanyang 2, Katabang, Asuben, Ebranta, Ebok, Bashu, Abo Mkpang, Abo Ebam, Ayimikang Orimekpang Inland, Okwa 1 & 2, Ndimechang, Agba Osokom, Nkim Osokom, Njua Kaku, Mkpura, Osibi, Okosora, Balep, Egomogom, Ejirawor.
While the second phase awaiting installation include:Bukalum, Danare, Kebeth Njua, Okubuchi, Effiayong, Abontakon, Agbaragba, Nkpura-Ezabantan and several other underserved communities.
EMPLOYMENT AND APPOINTMENTS
•Appointment of 11 Legislative Aides.
•Appointment of 28 Constituency Liaison Officers.
•Facilitation of employment opportunities for constituents in federal agencies.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
We have actively promoted peace and unity by:
•Supporting the Boje/Isobendeghe boundary demarcation process.
•Sponsoring peace-building seminars for traditional rulers and community leaders.
•Providing interventions aimed at strengthening communal harmony and peaceful coexistence.

THE JOURNEY AHEAD: OUR 2026 DEVELOPMENT COMMITMENTS
Dear Constituents,
As we reflect on the achievements of the past three years, we must also keep our eyes firmly fixed on the future. Representation is not only about celebrating completed projects; it is about sustaining momentum and delivering even greater dividends of democracy to our people.
I am pleased to inform you that several strategic projects have been captured and are ongoing under the 2026 Federal Budget for our constituency.
These projects are designed to expand opportunities, improve infrastructure, strengthen education and healthcare, empower our youths and women, and stimulate economic growth across Ikom and Boki.
Among the key projects are:
•Supply of educational materials to Schools in Ikom and Boki LGAs.
•Training and skill acquisition programme for women across Ikom and Boki.
•Training of farmers on the safe use of advanced Agrochemicals.
•Installation of solar-powered streetlights in Nnam, Ikom.
•Construction of solar-powered streetlights in Akam Community, Ikom.
•Construction of a Youth Development and Recreation Centre in Bansan-Osokom, Boki.
•Construction of a Town Hall in Akparabong, Ikom.
•Completion of the Guest House at Ekpashi-Nkome, Ikom town.
•Completion of the Principal's Quarters at Oku-Bushuyu.
•Construction of classroom blocks at Primary School, Nsadop, Boki.
•Construction of market stores at Nde Market, Ikom.
•Construction of a Health Centre at Oku-Aro, Boki.
•Construction of market stores at Bunyia-Irruan, Boki.
•Furnishing of the Guest House at Buanchor.
•Erosion control works at Kakwagom, Boki.
•Completion of Town Hall at Katabang Community, Boki.
•Installation of solar-powered streetlights at Ofutop 1, Ikom.
•Furnishing of Town Hall at Balep, Ikom.
•Completion of Town Hall at Nkpat Bawop, Boki.
•Completion of Health Centre at Okwabang Community, Boki.
These projects represent another phase of our commitment to equitable development across all wards and communities of our federal constituency.
My dear people, these achievements belong to all of us. They are not the accomplishments of one man, but the result of a shared vision, collective support, and unflinching belief that Ikom/Boki deserves quality representation.
While we celebrate these milestones, I remain mindful that there is still much work ahead. Our roads need further improvement. More employment opportunities must continue to be secured for our people. Healthcare and education must be strengthened further. Agriculture must be modernized. Our youths and women must continue to receive opportunities for growth and prosperity.
As your representative, I remain committed to ensuring that every approved project is diligently pursued and monitored to completion for the benefit of our people.
As I enter the next phase of this mandate, I recommit myself to the principles that have guided me from day one: humility, accessibility, accountability, diligence, and service.
Thank you for your trust, prayers, support, constructive engagement and even criticism over the past three years. Together, we have made progress. Together, we shall achieve even more.
