GO BEYOND BOUNDARIES 3

MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Corinthians 10:16 - "To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand."

You can't go beyond boundaries when you continue to do things the same way everyone does, when you are regular, and when you continue to use the same method of doing things that have not been favourable or adding value or producing positive results.

For you to go beyond boundaries you must do the UNUSUAL things and for you to do the UNUSUAL things you must first of all, start by changing your MINDSET ... Your ways of thinking and viewing things. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:2).

In order word, Change the way you think... it's an error to be in Christ and be foolish in thinking because Christ is wisdom specified and you ought to have wisdom in Him if you are spending quality time with him.

Remember that your association rubs on you. So if you are associating with Christ all the time, your mind set on Him, his character will rub on you. You will be thinking like Him, talking like Him, acting like Him and getting the same results as Him.

Certainly, you will not do the common things because the wisdom of Christ in you will inspire you to function in a way no one has ever been able to function. It may be that never have anyone gotten to certain levels in your family, never have anyone gone beyond a certain school level, no one has gotten to a high level profile in life before, you will break the code.

Whatever boundaries that have been set up today you have to be ready to go beyond those boundaries, refuse to end where everyone has been ending. You are a child of the Most High God, therefore you can't end up like every other person.

PRAYER
Thank you my heavenly Father for the grace to do the unusual, I therefore arise this day from mediocre and begin to break new grounds in Jesus name, Amen.

TAKE AWAY ALL IDOLS PT 1

MEMORY VERSE: - Genesis 35:4 - "And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem."

First of all, we must understand why they removed their earrings because many misunderstood this removing of earrings and made it a dogma that wearing earrings is a sin. Understand that these earrings were idols, and charms they wear as protection from where they were coming from.

These people were idol worshippers and everything around them had the images of their idols and represents one god or the other. Let's see other versions of this text:

AMP says, "So they gave Jacob all the [idols and images of the] foreign gods they had and the rings which were in their ears [worn as charms against evil], ....."

MSG "They turned over to Jacob all the alien gods they’d been holding on to, along with their lucky-charm earrings. Jacob buried them under the oak tree in Shechem." And so, for the reason that those things were gods to them, hence, they had to take it off, it is not that putting on jewelry is evil or sinful.

God our father made everything and gave them to man as their possession. In Haggai 2:8 He said, "The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty" Therefore as the custodian of all that the father has, you are to enjoy all that He gave to you as your possession but you are not permitted to make them more important than the giver (God).

You can't serve God and Manon, you can't serve two master, you have to make a choice whom you will serve. In addressing the children of Israel, Joshua said to them, "Choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell."

Today, make up your mind to worship God rightly by putting off those things that stands between you and your God.

PRAYER
Heavenly father, I thank you for your Word, today, I surrender totally to you. I put out of my life everything that stands as an idol against me in the name of Jesus, Amen.
