TEXT: "And Moses answered and said, But , behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee." Exodus 4:1.

Fear is common to mortals and one of such fears us the fear of failure. Instead of Moses going ahead and facing the assignment given to him by God to rescue the Israelites from the Egyptians slavery, he thought of failure. It is wrong to approach an assignment with negative mentality of failure. Just as Moses did, the eldest servant of Abraham demonstrated same in Genesis 24:5 when Abraham sent him to fetch a wife for Isaac.
There is something in man that wants him to anticipate the other side of success when he is embarking on a new mission or venture, but we must contend with that mentality and overcome it. God is not a failure and He does not send anyone on an assignment to fail. God took time to be with Moses because He knew that a wrong mentality would bring frustration into the assignment.
God did the needful to help Moses overcome his fear of failure; chose him a spokesman (Aaron), and empowered his staff to perform signs and wonders. God did all these to help Moses subdue his fears. He gave Moses a supernatural anointing to operate as a god unto Pharaoh (Exodus 7:1). At the end, Moses prevailed against Pharaoh.
The fear of failure is a robber of the future. some will not venture into business because of failure. A lot of success stories started with failure. Failure can become your impetus for success.

PRAYER:
My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, please help me to launch out of my fears.
