MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT FLUENCY AND INTELIGENCE.
Fluency in English and the ability to use complex grammar are often mistaken for intelligence, but they are not the same thing. Language is a skill that is shaped by exposure, education, and environment. while intelligence is far broader, showing up in critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, emotional awareness, and practical wisdom.
Many brilliant minds express themselves in simple words, and many eloquent speakers may lack depth beyond their vocabulary. Judging intelligence based solely on how polished someone’s English sounds overlooks diverse forms of knowledge and undervalues people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
True brilliance isn’t about sounding sophisticated; it’s about thinking clearly, understanding deeply, and applying knowledge meaningfully when necessary.
