To be an authentic Christian, must you sacrifice the intellect?

We have presented faith to look as if it doesn't think. For it to be faith, it must be weird. So to a thinking person, we end up looking foolish and inauthentic.

When you say something like "faith doesn't need your senses", what do you mean? You have likely said more than you meant. Faith sees. When clarified, it makes sense because for us to obey God, He still comes down to what our senses can relate with. The thing is that faith sees what you may not see but it's seeing something. And what it's seeing can add up to understanding at the end.

We tend to forget that God wants us to love Him with all our mind. When we develop our minds through education, God wants us to serve Him with all of it.

A Pastor wrote a book and asked me to edit it for him, the subtitle on the front page has a grammatical error which I pointed out to him to change. He refused, saying that that's the way he received it. I told him not to mention my name in the book.

Bad grammar has nothing to do with theology no matter the charisma exuded. In our heritage, the church has produced great thinkers and philosophers who have helped in moulding our doctrines and creeds.

Please let's value good thinking and intellectualism that honors God.
