BONNY PDP STAKEHOLDERS CONDOLES RSSDA BOSS.

A delegation numbering over 20 Bonny Local Government PDP Stakeholders led by Amasenibo Rodaford Long-John, the Hon Commissioner for Local Government Affairs and also the Leader of the Party in the LGA paid a condolence visit to Mr. Larry Pepple, the Executive Director and CEO of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency [RSSDA] recently over the demise of his father Late Elder Macaulay Oweibo Manilla Pepple .

Speaking during the visit Amasenibo Long-John prayed God to console the RSSDA Boss and the entire family of the late icon Elder, Manilla Pepple as well as the entirety of the Bonny Kingdom in this time of grief.

Recall that the Late Macaulay Oweibo Manilla Pepple aged 75yrs was killed on Wednesday, the 17th of May, 2017 during the dreadful attack by a group of assassins who shot and killed Four [4] innocent persons in Otobie and Ererekiri communities all in Bonny LGA.

In his response, Mr. Larry Pepple, revealed that he is excited hosting the Bonny PDP stakeholders even as he is mourning the death of his father. He thanked the entire PDP stalwarts of Bonny LGA for the show of concern during these times. He also used the medium to thank Hon. Simon Hart, the CTC Chairman of Bonny for the measures taking to maintain peace, law and order in the LGA as well as the donation of some food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as a result of the attack on the communities. Mr. Larry Pepple also extended his appreciation to the Honorable Member representing Bonny/Degema in the Federal House of Rep. Amaopusenibo (Hon) Randolph Oruene Brown for his tenacity and doggedness with regards to the killing of the ‘Bonny 4’ especially, for drawing attention of the 8th Assembly to the security challenges his constituents are faced with daily. Mr. Pepple also appreciated Amasenibo (Hon) Abinye Blessing Pepple, Member representing Bonny constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly for creating the platform for discussion between the Bonny and Andoni Communities. He also said he will keep the stakeholders posted when the family arrives at a possible date for the funeral. Finally, he thanked all that has condoled with him, especially the State Governor, His Excellency, Barr Nyesom Wike, CON, other Government functionaries, a cross section of prominent Rivers citizens and the entire Manila Pepple House of Grand Bonny at large over the sad incident.

WHO IS AFRAID OF THE TRUTH ABOUT THE KILLING OF THE BONNY 4.

The attention of the Executive Director and CEO of Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency [RSSDA], Mr. Larry Pepple has been drawn to a news item carried on Rhythm FM 93.7 on the early hours of Saturday 3rd June, 2017 sponsored by a group known as APF purportedly claiming that, Mr. Pepple engineered the raiding and subsequent arrest of some acclaimed Andoni Fishermen tagged as suspects that killed his father and three others on the Wednesday, the 17th of May, 2017. It is unfortunate that such a news item will be carried without verification by a reputable radio station.

The truth is that, Mr. Pepple was informed that the Military conducted a raid and some items were recovered including dangerous weapons, Military Uniforms and large number of telephone handsets were also found amongst the acclaimed suspected fishermen. It is quite unbelievable that his name will be associated with the said military raid as carried by the news item.

Mr. Pepple notes that this single act is capable of putting his life and that of his family in harm’s way and threatens the relative peace existing between the good Bonny and the Andoni people as he has no hand in the purported raid, as carried by the News. The action of the media house is highly condemnable and smack of unprofessionalism. How could Mr. Larry Pepple have aided a Joint Military operation?

While he pleads that, the people should stop peddling such callous and evil minded news. He pleads with the said media house to without further delay retract the false information and also urge the good people of Bonny to remain calm and allow the security operatives to do their Job.
