NATURAL SUPPLEMENT

All the nutrients we need for a healthy existence should come through a carefully designed whole-foods diet.

But achieving this goal can sometimes be impractical for various reasons which may include lack of knowledge, motivation, loss of nutrients in cooking and processing foods, unstable quality of food supply, time to prepare balanced diet, poor farming practices, nutrients depletion caused by stress, lifestyle, and certain medications.

This is where nutritional supplements can be used to narrow or close the gap.

Also, in our highly polluted environment that places increased detoxification burden on our system, research has shown that even a well designed whole-foods diet may not be enough to support full optimal wellness.

This is also another vital reasons to access nutritional supplements.

We now know that nutritional supplements, apart from playing vital role in dealing with a variety of illnesses, can help to maintain optimal physical and psychological health as well as promoting longevity and preventing chronic diseases.

Despite their known benefits, it is important to state that nutritional supplements can also come with certain potential risks that those who intend to be on it for a long time should be aware.

For instance we know that fiber can decrease the absorption of minerals, iron should not be taken with vitamin E or pancreatic enzymes and that vitamin C increases the absorption of iron.

When taking nutritional supplements, be sure to drink adequate amount of water, and if you are taking higher doses, do not take them all at once; divide them in smaller doses.

However, nutritional supplements are not a panacea and should not take the place of proper dietary habits or appropriate medical care when needed.

Do this if you find that you are not responding to treatment, even when you believe you are on the right track:

*1. Fasting.* Go on a 1 month intermittent fruit fast. I usually do cucumber for breakfast every morning.

*2. Exercise.* You need to review your activity level. Is your body getting enough activity? If your body is under too much physical stress and pressure, then, are you getting enough rest?

It cuts both ways for activity. Too much, and stress will accumulate, shutting down your immune. Too little, and your immune will not function to full capacity.

The key is BALANCE. The lack of balance is DIS-ease.

The best time to to cut herbs from the tree or the ground is when the sun is out and still visible.

Our grandparents will say do not pluck herbs in the night because they are sleeping. That's another way to see it.

They are living things, and they are in different states during each period of the day.

Scientifically, during photosynthesis the plants are breathing. Releasing what they don't need (oxygen) and taking in what they need.

That is the perfect state to cut them from their source and use them.

They don't breathe at night, and everything that is supposed to be expelled from within them is still there.

They expel it during the day when sunlight is visible.

Thanks for reading.🙏

Garlic
Bot. name: ( Allium sativum)
Family: Liliaceae
Medicinal actions: Antiseptic, anti-microbial, diaphoretic, cholagogue, hypotensive, anti-spasmodic, alternative, anthelmintic, anti-catarrhal, carminative, expectorant, pectoral, rubefacient, stimulant, tonic, vulnerary.

Garlic is a universal seasoning agent and home remedy. It is among the few herbs that have universal recognition and usage.

Garlic is a stimulant, and it tonifies the kidney, spleen-pancreas, stomach, and lung meridians.

Garlic is one of the most effective antimicrobial plants known to man, effective against bacteria, funguses, viruses and parasites of the alimentary canal.

Because of its volatile oil that is largely excreted through the lungs, garlic is used in respiratory infections such as recurrent cold, catarrh, chronic bronchitis, whooping cough, and bronchitic asthma.

Garlic, when taken over time, helps to stabilize blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels.

It supports the development of the gut flora.

Caution: Excessive intake of garlic may damage the stomach and liver. If you are feeling hot, avoid garlic. It is not also recommended when there are menopausal hot flashes.
As it mildly stimulates the uterus, pregnant mothers should use garlic moderately.
