TOR TIV LAMENTS MISREPRESENTATION OF BENUE SEC.URITY CRISIS.

The Paramount Ruler of the Tiv Nation, His Royal Majesty, Begha U Tiv, Orchivirigh, Prof. James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, CFR, has expressed deep concern over the persistent misrepresentation and misinformation surrounding the security crisis in Benue State.

Speaking during President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s condolence visit to Gov. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and the entire people of Benue State, Tor Tiv stated,

“Mr. President, what we are facing here in Benue is not a case of mere farmers-herders clashes or communal disp.utes. It is a calculated, well-planned, full-scale gen.ocidal invasion and land-grabbing campaign carried out by ter.rorists and bandits. These attacks have continued un@bated for several years now.”

The royal father further w@rned that a wrong diagnosis of the situation would inevitably lead to wrong solutions.

“This is not about reprisal atta.cks or isolated skirmishes. It is this d@ngerous misinformation that leads to misleading suggestions such as ‘remain tolerant,’ ‘negotiate for peace,’ or ‘learn to live with your neighbors.’ Such narratives do not reflect the true nature of what our people are going through,” he emphasized.

Tor Tiv called on the President to acknowledge the true nature of the crisis and take decisive action to stop the keelings and displacement of Benue people.

A Bell 407 helicopter has crashed in Gaurikund, Uttarakhand in India ki!ling all 7 people on board including the pilot.

At least 7 people were k!lled after a helicopter crashed in a remote part of Uttarakhand in India at around 5:30 am on Sunday.

The helicopter had seven people on board, 5 adult passengers, 1 infant and the pilot, according to Indian media reports.
