Unveiling The Hope Of Positive Representation In Delta Central

Politics is universally accepted as a game of interest, and in Delta Central Senatorial District, it has over the years, lacked the needed synergy between the masses and their representatives. The enduring conflicts on how a balance could be struck among these divergent divides, has thronged on for a long time. However, the hope of the people to one day have a messiah that will selflessly surrender his service to bridge the gap with a desire to control varied interests, and thus imbibe the idea of altruism that translates to "Interest for all" has constantly witnessed a dark end.

Given this scenario, effective representation has been made a luxury for the people, nonetheless, God has been sustaining them.

However, in this connection, there is a man in Delta Central whose name, pedigree and relationship with the people clearly shows that if given an opportunity to take up the onerous responsibility of representing the Senatorial District in the National Assembly, he will definitely make the interest of the people his interest.

One thing that stands him out like a sore thumb above his opponents is the fact that he is a product of the three (3) Arms of Government - (Executive, Legislature and Judiciary).
Having served meritoriously as Hon. Commissioner, Principal officer of the Delta State House of Assembly and a Barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, he understands party politics, administration and legislation. Moreso, having served as the longest State Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Delta State, he is well equipped for the task ahead.

Olorogun (Barr.) John Obukohwo Nani, is the best man to represent Delta Central at the Senate, because he is a living testament of adequate representation at all levels. He is a committed voice in advocating for what is right, just, equitable and good for the people. It is plausible to submit that the people of Delta Central Senatorial District will witness a revolutionary and characteristic difference in the quality of representation he will bring to bare.

Already, those who are familiar with his personae and charisma, have thrown their weight behind him. This is why at the mention of Aghwemutuwevwi, Hon. John Obukowho Nani's name readily comes to mind and it elicits a very cordial and positive response from the people.

Hon. Nani is indeed a name worth marketing. It is a name worth keeping close to heart because he is a political force to reckon with. He is a man of conscience, and understanding and we cannot have a finer option for Senate in 2023 when his name is on the ballot.

A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Delta State, Olorogun John Oguma has said that Chief John Obukohwo Nani, will change the present narratives at the red chamber, if elected as Senator to represent the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District.

Ahead of the forth-coming Senatorial primaries in the state, Olorogun Oguma made this call recently at his country home in Ovwor-Olomu,
Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, when the frontline Delta Central Senatorial aspirant, Chief John Obukohwo Nani, paid a consultative visit to PDP leaders and elders of Ughelli South Local Government Area

He however noted that power belongs to God and assured the aspirant of their total support.

Oguma said that John Nani, is a grassroot politician who has been in the system and has distinguished himself in the service to the PDP, the Urhobo nation and humanity in general, maintaining that the aspirant has all it takes to represent the good people of Delta Central and as such assured him of Ughelli South PDP unalloyed support all through this electioneering period.

He further noted that John Nani as a one-time Lawmaker at the Delta State House of Assembly, former Commissioner and having held other positions of service without blemished, has the requisite qualifications to perform excellently as a Senator.

Addressing leaders, elders and party faithful at Ovwor-Olomu, Chief John Obukohwo Nani thanked them for the warm reception and their unalloyed love and support for him and Delta Central.

The frontline aspirant while appealing to Ughelli South delegates to give him their votes during the PDP primaries, said that if elected as Senator, he will not disappoint them and as such promised to run an all inclusive administration with an open door policy, and subsequently make laws that will transform Nigeria and Delta Central in particular.

He however stated that the dream and desire reposition Delta Central Senatorial District in the scheme of affairs at the national level and be part of the decision making process is one out of many reasons that prompted him to run for the Senate.

"I put all my trust and hope in God. And when I get to the Senate, I will make laws that will be of great benefit to the people of Delta Central and Nigeria as a whole".

"By the special grace of God, Delta Central Senatorial District and indeed the Urhobo nation will enjoy more dividends of democracy because it is in my DNA to live and fulfill the true meaning of AghwemutUrhobo". He stated.

On their part, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ughelli South, Chief Michael Oshetiegh, Dr. Adogbeji Edeh, and others, thanked Nani for the visit and reassured him of their unflinching support.

Others that were present during the visit include: Chairman of the PDP in Delta Central, Chief Patrick Fovie, Chief Mrs. Eunice Okoh, Prof. D.D Darah, Hon. (Chief) Talib Tebite, among other party faithfuls in the area.
