HOW TO MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS CREATE CONTENT FOR YOU- PART 2

(If you missed part 1, check this page to read it).

By now you should have known about Customer-generated content aka User-generated Content and why it's effective.

If you don't, check the first part of this post on this page.

Now, let's look into how to actually get your customers to create content for you.

1️⃣ Have wonderful customer service both before and after sales.

Make your customers feel good.

Don't be rude, be polite.

Yes, I know some customers are problematic but no matter how they try to provoke you, always be of nice behavior.

This is the first and fundamental step. If you don't treat your customers well, it'll be difficult if not impossible to ask them to send you videos or reviews.

2️⃣ Have a good follow-up in place.

Follow-up is not only for people who indicate interest in buying from you.

Follow-up is also essential for customers who bought from you.
Keep up on them to ask if they've gotten their goods and if there is anything they want you to fix.

Appreciate them for their patronage and hype them.
Doing all these is like wetting the ground. It'll be easy to ask them for content.

3️⃣ Ask your customers to make videos as they are unboxing your products.

Ask that they make videos of them using your products
Most importantly, ask for reviews and testimonials, especially in video format.

That's it!

There is nothing serious about it. Once you do step 1 and 2 well, asking won't be difficult and you'll get more yes than no.

And even get no, it's not the end of the world. Move on and ask the next person.

Your homework is to make a list of at least 5 customers who bought from you recently and ask for any of the things I stated above.

Also, make sure you follow up on every customer who buys from you this week and ask them to make a video of them unboxing your products when they receive them.

HOW TO BUILD A LIST OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS ON WHATSAPP.

If as a business owner you're leveraging WhatsApp to connect with your customers and sell to them over and over again, you're missing out a great deal.

Let me tell you why.

WhatsApp is a highly effective marketing tool.

I mean, there is hardly anyone with a smartphone who doesn't use WhatsApp.

And most people use their WhatsApp far more than they use other social media platforms.

The icing on the cake is that WhatsApp is free.

I mean, how good can it be?

So how do you use Whatsapp to build a list of loyal customers and raving fans?

Read on.

1️⃣ Always collect the contact of everyone who buys from you or who shows interest in buying from you.

Get them to save your number and also save theirs.

2️⃣ Then keep them engaged by regularly posting interesting content and helpful on your WhatsApp status.

Don't let your content be about selling all the time.

Make sure you're posting valuable, and entertaining content. And then sell in between.

This will keep people glued to your status and they'll keep coming back for more.

3️⃣ That's not all, put them on a broadcast list and send weekly short and sweet helpful tips and info.

Also, send them information about when you'll have new arrivals and why they should get it.

PS: Make sure whatever you send to your broadcast list is short and straight to the point. And don't overdo it. Once a week broadcast is fine.

As long as you're sending helpful and valuable content, people won't mind.

4️⃣ Lastly but most importantly, make your WhatsApp interactive.
Engage with people on your list as often as possible.

Ask them questions.

Ask for their opinions

Check on your customers personally.

Don't wait until it's time to sell to them before reaching out.

Celebrate, appreciate and hype your customers on your WhatsApp status.

Just find creative ways to keep your contacts engaged and glued to your WhatsApp status and even broadcast.

Make them feel they are part of a community.

The online space is becoming crowded and noisy.

If you don't want your business to get drowned in the noise and become forgotten, you need to constantly innovate and find ways to stand out.

And the secret to standing out is simple.

DO WHAT OTHERS ARE NOT DOING!

Study your market, and look for an unmet need.

Look for a pressing problem that others are not paying attention to.

Then position your business to meet that need or solve that problem.

Let me give you examples.

1️⃣ If you're a skincare brand,

Instead of doing what others are doing and selling general skin care products, you can decide to focus mainly on ONE of the following:

👉People who have acne
👉New mums who want to get back their skin glow
👉Women in their 40s and 50s who need anti-aging products to achieve a youthful and glowing skin

Here's another example.

Let's say you sell shoes and footwear.

Instead of doing what everyone else is doing, you can set yourself apart by focusing mainly on selling beautiful big-sized shoes to people with big feet who always struggle to find their sizes.

I hope you get the point now?

Study your market and find an unmet need. Then position your business to start meeting that need.

It's as simple as that

And when you do this, not only will you stand out from the crowd, you'll make massive sales.
