✨ Did you know at birth 1/3 of babies blood is still in the placenta? This beautiful cord pulsated for almost 20 minutes after this babe was born. When we practice delayed cord clamping our babies oxygen and blood volume increase, it also ensures they receive all their iron reserves and precious stem cells which help repair any damage that may have occurred during birth. Once the umbilical cord has turned white and stop pulsating is the best time to clamp and cut. ✨

📖PREPARING FOR PREGNANCY📖

STOP BIRTH CONTROL

If you want to conceive, you will need to discontinue any forms of birth control.you can get pregnant right away after stopping some types of contraception.when your period starts, so does your first cycle of trying to conceive.some women get pregnant right away, but for others,it takes a few months.

EAT WELL

You can get many vitamins and minerals from eating a healthy and balanced diet.

START A MULTIVITAMINS

Give yourself a boost by taking a multivitamin because pregnancy is taxing on the body's nutritional stores. Starting a prenatal will help you avoid any nutritional deficiencies during early pregnancy.

TAKE FOLIC ACID

Take folic acid or folate supplement to prevent neural tube defects during early pregnancy. Taking at least 400 to 800 micrograms of folic acid per day, once you are pregnant, your doctor/midwife may prescibe a higher amount.

EXERCISE

Moving your body at least three to four times a week is another great way to prepare for pregnancy. You will get additional health benefits with exercise.

STOP SMOKING, ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

Smoking, using drugs and drinking alcohol can harm an unborn baby in many ways. Drinking puts baby at risk of fetal alcohol syndrome(FAS). Smoking exposes your baby to harmful chemicals, restricts blood flow and may even cause preterm labor. Using hard drugs can also cause birth defects, miscarriage or stillbirths.

REGULAR S*X

Have s*x often, be spontaneous and passionate. After all, s*x is what will get you pregnant. If you don't have any known fertility issues, don't worry about timing s*x at first, instead have frequent unprotected s*x throughout your cycle.

HAVE HIM GET CHECKED

Though much of a healthy pregnancy has to do with the women, it's good idea for him to get checked out too. Around 30 percent of infertility cases can be caused by males. Ensure that;
.He eats well
.stop smoking and taking drugs
.Exercises a lot
.stop alcohol intake
