HOW THE SITUATION GAVE BIRTH TO SOMETHING GREATER

Earlier this year, something in me wouldn’t stay quiet. My soul was restless… hungry for more. I knew it was time to step into business fully.
So I started searching for suppliers for female bags. I was excited, nervous, but determined.

That was when I met Mide.

She created a group, talked confidently, and encouraged us to pair up so we could meet high MOQs. Everything looked so genuine. Another lady reached out privately, and we agreed to take the risk together.

To gain my trust, Mide even did a VIDEO CALL with the supplier and sent me her NIN. I thought, “Surely, this lady is legit…”

But shortly after we paid, the nightmare began.

First, it was tiny excuses.
Then bigger excuses.
Then silence.
Then… she blocked us everywhere. WhatsApp, TikTok, calls. Just vanished.

My heart dropped. The reality hit me like a truck.
We were scammed.

Out of desperation, we contacted the Chinese supplier using the proof she sent earlier. Even HE tried reaching her but nothing. He advised us to involve the police, but that road led nowhere.

At this point, frustration, fear, anger… everything mixed together.
But then something unbelievable happened.

This Chinese supplier who owed us NOTHING, took full responsibility.
He bore the entire loss.
He shipped our goods to Nigeria.

In that moment,something in me awakened.

Going through this emotional, mental, and financial roller coaster woke something up in me. I realized too many entrepreneurs are walking blindly into traps, fighting battles alone.
