Good morning ma, I am sorry for coming to you without your permission. I was referred to you by some people.

The thing is that I had a man I was dating and we were to get married in June this year. We dated for almost three years before he proposed and came for introduction and traditional wedding date was fixed for June.

Everything was going smoothly until I noticed he started withdrawing from me, he won't call and when I talk about wedding plans he won't say anything meaningful. My family called him for a meeting but he didn't come and told my dad on phone that he is sorry that they should cancel everything.

To destroy the witness' statement, show the witness is lying, and to nail the witness, the lawyer will say, "I put it to you that you are not a witness of truth! You béàt up the complainant and that's why she has marks on her body. These marks cannot be gotten from a fall."

The phrase allows the lawyer to bring up their own version of the story while trashing the witness testimony.

If a lawyer puts it to you, you need to put it back to the lawyer by saying, "I disagree", or "I don't accept what you have said" or "I put it back to you sir that I am telling the truth".

If a witness keeps quiet after the lawyer makes a statement using "I put it to you", the silence will be used to argue that the witness was lying and that can destroy the person's case.

So, I put it to you is not a slogan, it is used to show someone is lying and that you want to destroy the person's case and establish your own version.

When you jokingly tell someone "I put it to you", you are actually saying, "You are lying" or "What you have said is not the true position of things".

Don't smile or keep quiet when someone puts it to you. Put it back to the person immediately and show you are not dishonest.

What really happened was that the father of my children used my Facebook account to chat with a guy and the guy think that it was a woman that was chatting with him and the father of my children used that my very account to invite him to our house and people gather him and ask him that did he know the person he was chatting with but he said no but they used to chat.

Not that he really catch me on bed with a man. The reason why he is doing all this was, it came to my notice that he's having an affair with a married woman and I sit him inside and confronted him that what he's doing is very wrong but the words that came out of his mouth was that he will surprise me. I didn't know he's up to something like this. Ever since then he has been tarnishing my image, everything he said people believe him because I am not the talking type I don't even know how I will explain myself to anyone for them to believe.

I am down 😭😭 . Ever since then he continues to tarnish my image that when his friends start asking me what really happened between us I explain to them and I send the voice note of him and the married woman to his friends out of anger. Since I noticed he is getting married to another wife I wish them well but the way he's taking things out is very wrong as he is sharing his wedding invitations card he's tarnishing my image along.

Ma good evening, please I am reaching out to you with a broken heart. I got married in January 2025 and my husband has been cheating on me. He was doing it before we got married but whenever I break up with him he will come begging that he will change and I didn't want to continue with him but I was told that marriage and family responsibilities will make him change and that I should be a good wife to keep him.
