SATURDAY, JUNE 7 | OPEN BOTTLES DAY NEW IN: DOMAINE ODYSSÉE Domaine Odyssée is the wine estate of Vincent Carreras. In 2016, he bought 3.5 hectares of vineyard in Calce en Baixas, in Roussillon. In the 10 years prior to that, he worked at several wineries in southern France, New Zealand, Argentina and Bordeaux. There he not only gained experience in winemaking, but also developed a love for unique terroir. Vincent Carreras compares wine making to an Odyssée, a journey through time in which he reaps the fruits of his experiences, encounters and memories. He works organically, uses no herbicides in the vineyard and harvests the grapes by hand. Fermentation is spontaneous and the wines are neither filtered nor clarified. At bottling, he adds a minimal amount of sulphite to preserve the primary aromas in the wine and give it time to live. His white wines are made from Macebeu and Chenin, his reds from Grenache and Fer Servadou. They all excel in fraicheur and finesse. Domaine Odyssée's wines are unique, quirky and unusual in the good sense of the word. We invite you to come and taste them this Saturday between 2 and 6pm at Wine&Roses.
