Today, Canadians across the country celebrate Canada Day, marking the anniversary of the Confederation on July 1, 1867, when it officially became a self-governing nation. As we join in recognising this special day, we extend our warmest wishes to our Canadian partners and friends.

Canada is also home to a thriving and innovative Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sector, ánd to our brand-new event GreenTech North America (23-24 September 2026). From advanced greenhouse technologies to sustainable food production, Canadian growers and innovators continue to help shape the future of horticulture worldwide 🌱

Throughout GreenTech Amsterdam 2026, hundreds of international guests from around the world gathered in the Netherlands to exchange knowledge, explore innovations and discuss the future of food production. Growers, investors, policymakers, government officials and ministers were all eager to connect with the innovative heart of Dutch horticulture.

From roundtable discussions and company visits to networking events, knowledge sessions and meetings on the GreenTech exhibition floor, one message stood out clearly: the challenges of food security, water scarcity and climate resilience require collaboration across borders.

This impactful week was made possible by a strong public-private collaboration, aimed at welcoming and immersing influential guests in the Netherlands’ CEA sector. During HortiTalent today, students and young professionals had the opportunity to discover the dynamic world of horticulture, connect with leading companies, and explore the latest innovations on the show floor of GreenTech Amsterdam 2026.

Organised in cooperation with AVAG, HortiTalent offers a unique chance to learn more about the industry through inspiring presentations, valuable networking opportunities, and conversations with companies looking for the next generation of talent.
