Black Heron Rover Crew

Our annual weekend to Mengerschied was another one for the books! On friday we had a great dinner at the local Greek restaurant. But our dinner saturday is a whole different story. In German fashion we made our very own sausages. From mixing the spices, to grinding the meat and ofcourse creating the sausages.

We made it a bit of competition of who could make the best one. Our judges had a very official taste test and the winner was: Jorrit!

While enjoying our sausages we had a night full of games and chatter.

A great weekend like this could not end on anything else but a high note. With the investing of 2 new members, Ruud and Renske. Welcome to our crew!

This weekend we had a lot of new people come and check out if the Black Heron family is one for them, so who knows, next weekend there will be even more.

Thanks to our rover Maarten for welcoming us in his little town again!

We had a great rover weekend in Dorst!
We went to the Doloris Meta Maze. Were we explored and opened our minds to some great and fun art.
After that Wouter took us on a hike where he told us all about his work and the nature surrounding us. We ended the weekend with a bbq and even sang some songs for Sinterklaas.
The next day we all got some nice treats in our shoes!

It was a weekend full of exploring and learning something new!

We had a blast this weekend in Belgium at the Rover Moot! The activities and food were amazing and it was great to see everyone again.

On the 4th of May, the Netherlands commemorates those who lost their lives so that we can live in freedom. While we are in Belgium for the rover moot, we participated in this with a small gathering. All our rover friends joined us in the two minutes of silence.

Thank you for doing this with us, it meant a lot.

Our rovers are hosting the Rover Conference this year. We’re 75 people strong this camp. Yesterday was a great first evening and we’ll just continue on with the fun!

We started the year off strong with a weekend to Germany! Together for some good new experiences and even greater laughs. We invested 2 new rovers with many more to come.
