This portrait zooms in on the essence of the original scene - love, identity, and divine femininity. Her angisa is worn with pride, her hair adorned with charms, beads, and memories. Influences from Surinamese, African, and Asian culture meet the bold ease of modern street fashion. A celebration of legacy glowing forward with softness, with strength.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been two weeks since our debut exhibition at WORM! 🎉 This was our very first collective event and I got to share this experience with some of my closest friends who are now like family. 💫
I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who came, supported, shared kind words, and connected with me. The conversations and stories shared during the exhibition meant the world. 🌍

For those who missed it, my work at the expo was deeply inspired by my own heritage and the stories, traditions, and emotions that come with it. Through vibrant digital illustrations, sculptural paintings, and my new scarf designs, I wanted to explore identity, connection, and the shared experiences that shape who we are inviting moments of both joy and reflection.
