Introducing Lumberyard Beta 1.11 29/09/2017

So finally the news is out and we can mention it: Amazon acquired EMotion FX.

It is now part of Lumberyard and it is not available anymore as standalone middleware.

The good thing is it is now completely free as part of the engine. And we have an awesome team working on it backed by the resources of Amazon.

The integration of EMotion FX in Lumberyard is still in preview and the interface styling still needs to be improved a lot. It came from a standalone tool into an existing engine editor with its own style, so it will take some time to get it all looking good.

The future of EMotion FX is hereby secured and we will get to work on some exciting new technologies! :)

We have just released the September 2016 update! This includes brand new artist documentation (~285 images, ~56000 words), many user interface and workflow improvements in EMotion Studio and some in the exporter plugins, bug fixes, multithread performance improvements, a new unit system (meters, cm, millimeters, etc), named uv and color sets, and more.

A new update has been released for EMotion FX 4. Focused on improved cross platform functionality. Now ships with pre-compiled libs for Windows, MacOSX, Linux, Android and Linux. Compiles without warnings on all platforms and all tested compilers. Also Visual Studio 2015 support has been added as well as several other improvements.
