Day 119-124 of walking across Europe, from the Hook of Holland to Istanbul 🌍🚶‍♂️

After a peaceful stop in Linz, it was time to start making my way along the Danube and towards Vienna. Before walking any further though, I made a slight diversion to head to the site of Mauthausen concentration camp - easily the most affecting place I’ve visited on this entire trip 🇦🇹

It’s time to say goodbye to Salzburg and head further into Austria. Unfortunately it was a pretty damp few days but I was delighted to make it to Linz for a few rest days 🇦🇹

It’s my final three days in Germany! I’ve really loved it here and all its amazing people and scenery. It’s a shame to say goodbye but I’m also looking forward to Austria next 🇩🇪🇦🇹

I’m in Munich, looking at some of the landmarks that remain of the Third Reich, and how this city remembers its darkest moment 🇩🇪

Over these two days I headed from Augsburg to Munich - about 60km - through rain, wind and snow. Very happy to be warm and dry in Munich now! 🇩🇪
