Recently Acquired Jordaens Drawing on View in Museum Plantin-Moretus - CODART 18/06/2026

The Flemish Government gave a recently acquired masterpiece on long-term loan to the Museum Plantin-Moretus in Antwerp. The work, 'The Triumph of Minerva', is an elaborate preparatory drawing by Jacques Jordaens, dating from around 1660–1665. It stands as an exceptional example of the artist’s talent in his later years. Restored Dieric Bouts Triptych Returns to Granada - CODART 17/06/2026

After three years in Belgium, 'Triptych of the Descent from the Cross' (ca. 1455–1460) by Dieric Bouts has been returned to the Capilla Real de Granada. The masterpiece was temporarily transferred for exhibition at M Leuven and underwent an extensive conservation treatment led by the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA).

With the recent opening of 'HildeGARDEN', the Snijders&Rockoxhuis presents a new focus display dedicated to the beauty of sixteenth- and seventeenth-century flower still lifes. This permanent, dynamic presentation brings exceptional loans into direct dialogue with recognized masterpieces from the museum’s own collection, while also serving as a lasting tribute to Hildegard Van de Velde (CODART member since 2012) as she retires as honorary curator.
