Last weekend, AFC Ajax initiated the livestream of the Olympia Future Cup 2026, driven by their ambition to make the tournament accessible to a global audience. Together with their long-term YouTube partner ODMedia and YouTube itself, Ajax brought the 14th edition of this prestigious international youth tournament to life via a YouTube livestream. The Future Cup is widely regarded as one of the most exciting showcases of the next generation of football talent. The livestream of this Under 17 tournament was visible not only via YouTube, but also via Ajax own website and app, and TikTok.

Held on April 4th, 5th and 6th, the Future Cup once again brought together top academies from around the world, offering fans a unique glimpse into the stars of tomorrow. We were proud to help bring this tournament to a global audience through a seamless and high‑quality YouTube livestream experience. Several innovative new features to further enhance reach and fan engagement were deployed. Besides two regular livestreams, this included a vertical livestream on YouTube Shorts, as well as the new Multiview experience on Connected TV (CTV), allowing viewers to watch multiple live matches simultaneously on one TV-screen.

The results speak for themselves and show YouTube is thé premium experience for consumers:
• 4.1+ million views
• 1.1+ million unique viewers
• 6.5+ million minutes of watch time
