This is my journal today as a reminder to myself to take action. Things don't get done by themselves.
You can either think about doing something or actually get busy doing it!
We always say that we'll start on Monday or the 1st of the month. But if you think about it now & feel the drive to reach your goal now, why wait?! The longer you wait to start, the longer you will wait to see results.
Want to get healthy, start now. It doesn't matter what you just ate. What matters is that going forward, you make healthy food choices, that you go for that walk instead of binge watching another series...
So who's with me?

Progress photos of my labour of love last night. Homemade gluten-free gnocchi!
It was the first time I have made gnocchi from scratch. Might be my last 😉
I did have to fry it, otherwise we would've been eating some mush🤣 but with brown butter, sage & chorizo - it worked out pretty well.
Plans for next time (if I make it again 🤷🏼♀️, maybe a half batch to test out), I will probably try shallow frying the gnocchi directly & not boiling it first. Let's see how it goes...

A month post New Year resolutions "go live"... and how is everyone doing? Those big audacious goals, exercise more, eat health meals, learn to say no to things you don't want to do, etc etc etc.
Or have you slipped back into routine? There is nothing wrong with a certain amount of routine, but opening yourself up to new ideas & opportunities lead to a refreshed mindset & healthy way of living.
So... is it time to change a habit?
What are your "default settings"? Don't know what to make for dinner - default: cottage pie. Change things up. Google "What's for dinner tonight?", or better yet, ask me for ideas! (ps tonight we are having chilli chicken and egg fried rice loaded with veggies!😋)
Saying yes when you really meant to say no (or the opposite!). Remember, if you are saying yes to whatever isn't going to get you to where you want to be, you are saying no to your goal.
But saying yes, in the right direction, will fill your imagination with different ideas & possibilities to consider when you do something out of the ordinary!
I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to mixing it up a bit!!

I fancied something hearty & warm this morning (complete opposite to what the weather is outside 😉)
This was the result... blueberry cinnamon oats. Simple, quick & packed full of goodness. I am ready to start my day!
Blueberry Cinnamon Oats:
(per serving)
- 1/3 cup organic oats
-1/3 cup milk of choice (I used almond)
-1/3 cup filtered water
*if you have time, let it stand for 30 minutes*
- handful of blueberries
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
*heat in a pot on the stove top on medium to low heat until cooked how you like it
*place in bowl with the following toppings
- heaped Tbsp full fat Greek yoghurt or coconut yoghurt
- additional blueberries
- few chopped nuts
- drizzle of maple syrup
