In a bit more than a week the PAC Symposium 2021 will begin! Will you be there as well?

The PAC-symposium is an annual chemistry symposium for students by students. As the name implies, we, the PAC foundation board, are responsible for the organization of the symposium. Each year the board is made up of students of the 4 different study associations: U.S.S. Proton, ACD, CDL and VCSVU.
This year's symposium theme is ‘Impact’, where we make the connection between the highly specialized academic world and our current society. This way we hope to emphasize what these ‘niche’ studies do for our everyday life and the impact they make on a larger scale.

The symposium will include one plenary lecture (with Nobel prize winner Stanley Whittingham) and one parallel session, where three different speakers (Sylvestre Bonnet, Anouk Rijs, Chris Slootweg) will tell something about their research. This year will also include a panel where five chemists, both academics and industry experts, will discuss the big topics in chemistry. Led by our expert moderator Puck Moll (editor-in-chief at C2W). There will also be a special segment dedicated to PhD students, where they will show off their research in a video, giving you a look at what is happening in the labs right now!

The symposium will be on March the 4th at 10:45 AM and will take place on an online platform for which you can register at pacsymposium.nl. You have till february the 28th to register for the symposium, so do not decide too late if you want to join.
