T Comm Telematics
T Comm Telematics is a leading company in collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data from trailers, warehouses, and the entire supply chain.
Transportdata is waardevol. Alleen als je er iets mee doet. Op 23 april presenteerden we het vernieuwde T Comm Platform aan de sector: gebouwd om te doen wat wij geloven.

We warmly welcome Lettl Transporte GmbH!
The family-owned company has been making history since 1906, starting with milk transport by horse-drawn cart, and in the 1930s the first Lettl truck hit the road. In the early days, they transported everything from livestock to construction materials, but over time the company specialized in tank transport of liquid food products.
Whether transporting fruit juice, chocolate, dairy products, or beer, Lettl ensures reliable and high-quality transport with modern trucks, multi-compartment tanks, and their own tank cleaning facilities and workshop.
For the high-quality standards in the food sector, temperature monitoring in tank transport is becoming increasingly important and is increasingly part of transport tenders. To meet these customer requirements, Lettl decided in December 2024 to run a long-term test of temperature monitoring with several providers.
After the successful installation of the T Comm Telematics main unit with special wireless temperature sensors and integration into SPEDION fleet management, the systems were thoroughly tested.
The decision for T Comm Telematics solutions was primarily influenced by the fact that the wireless sensors were easy to install. In addition, the high flexibility in integration into the SPEDIOnline portal, combined with the T Comm Platform, impressed offering users’ new possibilities in operation and overview.
Thank you very much for your trust, we look forward to the collaboration!

T Comm und Platform Science provides John Driege with real-time insights into temperature-controlled transport.
At John Driege in France, logistics is about more than just transporting fresh goods. The challenge is to maintain high quality, preserve an excellent reputation, and successfully seize opportunities.
As an expert in fish logistics, John Driege understands the importance of temperature control. Any deviation can directly affect product quality and food safety. Reliable data and real-time insights are therefore essential.
In collaboration with on-board telematics provider Platform Science, T Comm has developed an integrated solution that combines advanced technology with user-friendly operation. At the heart of this solution is the connection of wireless temperature sensors via T Comm’s T-Box to Platform Science’s Truck4U onboard computer.
By using wireless temperature and door sensors in the cargo area, high-quality fish products are continuously monitored. The recorded values appear directly on Platform Science’s tablet in the cabin, allowing the driver to monitor the transport status transparently at any time.
Through API integration, all data is also sent to the T Comm platform and Platform Science. This gives dispatchers and other stakeholders complete, centralized insight into transport conditions. Since 2023, John Driege in France has been using this solution, with more and more units being equipped with T-Box and Truck4U. This confirms confidence in the system’s reliability and scalability.
For companies involved in temperature-controlled transport, this means greater control, reduced risk, and the assurance that quality is always maintained.

Fuel prices are rising. How much diesel are you losing without even noticing?
Fuel prices are under pressure again due to the current geopolitical situation.
And that makes one thing painfully clear: hidden consumption suddenly starts to show in your margins.
Take re-cooling, for example. Something that happens daily, yet is rarely accounted for.
In practice:
A trailer carrying 25 tons of frozen fries, loaded at -15°C while the trailer is at -20°C.
What does that mean in concrete terms?
• Temperature difference: 5°C
• Total cooling demand: 105 kW
• Time to re-cool: 10.5 hours
• Fuel consumption: 31.5 liters of diesel
• Cost: €66.15 per trip at the current fuel price of €2.10 per liter
And that’s just for returning to the desired temperature. No extra kilometers. No downtime. Just re-cooling.
With current fuel prices, this adds up quickly.
Multiple trips per week make this difference immediately visible on your monthly figures.
And this is only one side of the story. Fuel loss also occurs at other times.
Think of theft that goes unnoticed. Without proper insight, this often remains undetected.
With the T Comm Platform, you get full control over both:
• Real-time visibility into temperature and cooling performance
• Alerts for deviations or sudden fuel loss
• Support with a fuel sensor that detects theft
This way, you not only prevent unnecessary re-cooling but also stop fuel from literally disappearing without you noticing.
The reality is simple: what you don’t measure, you can’t control. Especially when every liter counts.
