Wider weather windows are not created by optimism. They are created by better operational evidence. Offshore wind teams need to understand the local sea state around vessels, turbines, and project sites. This matters for access, service operations, installation work, floating wind monitoring, and marine coordination.
The question is not only whether the forecast looks acceptable.
The question is what the ocean is doing at the worksite.
That is why we have created an Ocean Data Measurement Solution Finder by operational need.
The offshore wind guide outlines which measurements are relevant across different offshore wind operations.
✅Start with the operation. Then define the data needed to support it.

Most ocean data questions start too late. Too often, the discussion starts with a sensor, a system, or a data feed. The better starting point is the operation. A port, a vessel, an offshore wind farm, and an oil and gas asset do not need the same setup.
Where is the decision made?
What conditions affect the risk?
Which measurements are needed to support that decision?
That is why we have created an Ocean Data Measurement Solution Finder guide by operational need.
Not every operation needs more data.
It needs the right data.
✅Start with the operation. Then define the data needed to support it.

When oil spill response matters, confidence in the system starts long before deployment.
That is why it was a pleasure to welcome our Egyptian guests to Miros HQ in Norway: Mohamed Ayman and Abdelmonem Mohamed Adel from SUMED, joined by Ahmed Osman from our partner Elcome.
During the visit, we completed a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and training for the Miros Oil Spill Detection (OSD) system. The purpose was clear: confirm that the delivery is on schedule, meets expectations, and is ready for the next steps in the project: Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of the Oil Spill Detection System for SUMED Sidi Kerir Terminal
It was a valuable few days of collaboration, technical alignment, and hands-on OSD training. Most importantly, both our partner and customer left happy, confident, and ready to move forward.
A special thanks to Eirik Tenningen for hosting our Egyptian guests, Ørjan Kleppe for participating in the FAT, Daniel Christopher Denyer for leading the training, and Sahil Kochhar for keeping it all together.
Great work by everyone involved.
We look forward to a continued successful collaboration.
