Ekhaug is our intimate, art-adorned venue within Rasmussen Samlingene. A secluded sanctuary perfect for weddings, confirmations, and other distinguished gatherings of up to 50 guests. With its private entrance and terrace overlooking Gamlehaugen Castle, this space offers a refined atmosphere of exclusivity.

At Rasmussen Samlingene, we are proud to be home to one of Northern Europe's finest Persian carpet collections.

These exceptional works span centuries of artistry, dating from the 15th to the 17th century. Each carpet reflects generations of skill, crafted in silk or fine wool and sometimes threaded with gold or silver. Their intricate details display the brilliance of centuries-old craftsmanship.

Tying the room together is James McQueen's painting No Risk No Story. The British artist draws on his fascination with vintage literature and human storytelling, exploring themes of risk and ambition. His contemporary voice reminds us that art continues to inspire across time.

The Office at Rasmussen Samlingene is a beautifully preserved historic room that reflects the legacy of ship owner and art collector Hilmar Reksten. Once his private workspace, it now forms part of the gallery experience, offering visitors a unique setting shaped by history.

In addition to its cultural value, The Office is available for intimate board meetings and private gatherings, offering a distinctive and characterful setting surrounded by exceptional artworks.
