Jeg var litt i tvil der jeg og Jens Jens Wikström - Wildlife Photography fikk tatt bilder av denne fuglen på Svalbard. 82.20 grader N, rett nord for Sjuøyane. Langt oppe i drivisen. Jens er større ekspert enn meg på dette og vi konkluderte med ungfugl sabinemåke. Men etter å ha sendt bildet til Georg Bangjord som gjerne vil høre alt om fuglearter som er "spesielle" observasjoner rundt på Svalbard så er det en årsunge rosenmåke. Det kan tyde på hekking på Svalbard sier Bangjord. Artig observasjon som nå trolig har havnet i artsobs med hjelp av Georg. Ikke det store bildet som ble tatt i all hasta der fuglen kretset rundt Origo et par ganger.

A update from the drift ice north of Svalbard. We have been there at around 82 degrees north for three days now and had some nice encounters with Polar Bears. As usual the drift ice is beautiful, varying from dense fog to clear evenings with red colours on the sky from the sun. If its to windy we escape out of the ice and do something else, and come back as soon as it is possible. Long hours of waiting it will be but lots of action in between. Like in this situation where a bear came out of the fog and stayed in the area long enough to also get pictures of it without the fog. People onboard love this trip. Heading vest now and will in a couple days start our journey back down to the Svalbard archipelago. Next year we will do a lot more of this, in addition to beautiful landscapes and wildlife encounters with Walruses, Birds, Whales, Bearded Seals and other wildlife near the Svalbard islands.
