The weather has been amazing these last weeks, crazy amounts of fish, hardly any waves, and many customers that have gotten to experience these wonderful conditions.

As many coalfish as you want to catch, and some respectable sizes too (for Southern Norway), some pollack and quite a few cod thankfully, and some sea trout.

We go into a quiet two weeks now before the very busy period begins and dates are filling up fast now. So if you're thinking of booking, do it before the spaces are gone!

These last weeks in Southern Norway the sea trout fishing really has taken off with 10 to 20+ fish per trip.

Sea trout fishing can be tough at times but with the right knowledge to choice of place, lure/fly, how the weather influences the fish, etc can one succeed.

After almost 25 years passionately hunting these fish, 12 years as a professional fishing guide, and lots of good tips and advice from other accomplished sea trout fishers, it's time to share what I have learnt.

In the Otra River, a unique form of brown trout is sometimes called “marble trout,” but their story is more complex and fascinating than most anglers realize.

I wrote a detailed piece about how they differ from the classic marble trout of Southern Europe and what it means for anglers here in Norway.

Curious what others think — does this change how you view trout fishing in Norway?

Norwegian Marble Trout (Salmo trutta): The Unique Marbled Trout of the Otra River A journey into the world of one of the most beautiful fish found in Southern Norway. Not only is it aesthetically breathtaking but the environment where it lives equally so.
