DOT, a tiny brain implant, the size of a bluebuberry is approved for clinical trials for treatment-resistant depression. DOT is wirelessly powered and designed to be implanted in in the bone in a 20-minute outpatient procedure over the brain region well-established as a target for depression treatment.

Treatment-resistant depression is one of the leading causes of disability and su***de in the U.S. and worldwide. Individuals with this condition have often exhausted available treatments, medications and therapies without finding lasting relief.
