After alcohol, cannabis is by far the most commonly used illegal drug in Norway. The effect kicks in relatively fast, especially for someone who is inexperienced with the substance, and can last for up to 2-4 hours. Ingesting cannabis through eating will have a later onset of the effect, but can last even longer than when smoked. 😶‍🌫️

It is also common to v**e cannabis which again provides a slightly different effect. A normal effect of cannabis is to feel relaxed, mental stimulation and certain psychedelic effects which again depends on the dose, how it is ingested, and even your own expectations surrounding the effects. 🌬️

There are also a lot of people who experience erotic sensations through the use of cannabis because of its relaxing and stimulating effects, but for some people these feelings can also be fairly overwhelming and create the opposite effect of not wanting to engage in sexual acts. Slamming adds yet another layer of stigma, since injecting is seen as crossing a line, even within the chemsex community. 🚫💉

This act of crossing a line can change how people are viewed by others in the scene. 👀

As a result, some people may feel even more excluded or ashamed because of their use. 🫣

Alcohol is a commonly used drug and a associated with a lot of risks. BUT: it can be enjoyed in ways that reduce the risks and this week we are including some infographics about this commonly used drug.

🔢✔️ It is important to plan: how much do you want to take during one session? Keep track of your intake. If you know you easily lose control, try to stay away from drinking games and shot-competitions. Remember: if you have alcohol addiction in your family you should be careful with your drinking habits.
