The buzzing heart of the city, Stavanger Sentrum is home to Øvre Holmegate, a cheerful cobbled street with brightly painted houses, as well as a busy ferry terminal and a marina. An eclectic range of bars and restaurants include Thai, Indian and Italian venues, and there are plenty of clothing and sporting goods stores. Other highlights include the Norwegian Petroleum Museum and the landmark Valberget lookout tower.
