PaleBlue - Immersive Employee Training

PaleBlue has delivered a modern ROV training simulator to a facility at the premises of the Portuguese Maritime Authority. The simulator is operated by the Portuguese company Atlantis Robotics that provides training on the simulator for the Portuguese Navy Marinha Portuguesa.

PaleBlue attended the MATE Texas Regional ROV Competition, part of the international MATE ROV Competition program that challenges students to design, build, and operate underwater robots while solving mission tasks inspired by real-world applications.

In June 2026, the regional finals took place at the University of Houston. Teams across three student divisions competed in designing and piloting ROVs, with more than a dozen teams taking on the challenge of building and operating underwater robots.

PaleBlue supported the event by bringing a PaleBlue ROV Trainer station, where students had the opportunity to pilot both small and large ROVs in a simulated underwater environment. PaleBlue also awarded the winning team with a license for the training system.
