Before 27th March, 2021, a group of young people decides that they’re going to take the city of Hetauda and the voices of young people to the United Nations 🇺🇳 Little did they knew, they’d be making their strides towards the General Assembly Hall on Buddha Jayanti, to deliver a statement at the Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
We, today, can proudly speak for ourselves that we have cleared stage 1 of what we intend to deliver. The voices from Hetauda has reached the great Hall of the General Assembly of the United Nations 🇺🇳
Marking the first engagement of Bagmati UNESCO Club at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, we are very thankful to each supporting hand that has helped us evolve.

We call upon each and every Clubs and Associations for UNESCO in Nepal to be a part of this general convention. It should be historic and demands youth involvement and engagement.

On 15th May, 2026 Bagmati UNESCO Club will host a side event titled, "Legislating for parliament: Parliamentary Leadership Addressing AI Nuclear Threats" from 10:00 AM to 13:00 PM at the Conference Hall A, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.
This is being organized on the sidelines of The 2026 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, which will take place from 27 April to 22 May 2026 at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
