Coventry University Group — encompassing Coventry University, Coventry University London, and its CU campuses across the UK — has earned an impressive 5-star rating across nine categories in the prestigious QS Quacquarelli Symonds Stars rankings.

“A truly incredible achievement” – those are the words of our Vice-Chancellor and Group CEO, Professor John Latham CBE, in reaction to the news that we have received a clean sweep of 5 Stars in the QS Quacquarelli Symonds Stars ratings.

Coventry University Group, which includes Coventry University, Coventry University London and CU campuses across the UK, has been awarded 5 Stars in nine categories. Seven of those are core categories that each institution is judged on and include teaching, facilities, employability, good governance, environmental impact, research, and global engagement.

Two further optional categories that saw Coventry University Group gain further 5 Stars were Programme strength – Nursing, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Group is one of only two institutions to gain the highest possible rating in nine categories and its rating of 5 Stars in Research came after a previous rating of 4 Stars.

QS Stars is a globally recognised university rating system and uses independent and in-depth evaluations to cover all components that make a world-class university.

Professor John Latham CBE, Coventry University Vice-Chancellor and Group CEO, said: “This is a truly incredible achievement to receive the highest ranking across each category and one of which we could not be more proud. It shows the excellence that colleagues right across our Group achieve every day.”

A specialist influencer marketing agency started by Coventry University students now counts Disney and Netflix among its clients 💼🤩🎥

VAMP, which is the first agency to solely focus on the representation and development of black digital talent in the UK, has recently worked on major film campaigns for Disney, including Black Panther and The Little Mermaid.

The company was founded by Christina Okorocha, Ruby Aryiku and Rumbi Mupindu after they saw a huge gap in the market for authentic black female voices in the entertainment and Influencer industries.

It was during summer placements when Christina and Ruby, who were both working in the same building with Google and Universal Pictures respectively, had the idea of forming the agency.

In 2017, VAMP was officially born and today its impressive client roster includes global giants such as Disney, Netflix and Arsenal football club, as well as grassroots and community-driven initiatives.

Christina said: “We built our business by identifying gaps in the market and leveraging our industry knowledge. Coventry University provided the perfect environment to develop these skills.”
