Vishwakarma Puja or Vishwakarma Jayanti is an important festival for people of the Hindu community. As per Hindu religious belief, he constructed the holy city of Dwarka where Krishna ruled, the Maya Sabha of the Pandavas.

The festival is primarily observed by shops, factories, and industries. On this occasion, workers of factories and industrial areas worship their tools and offer prayers to Lord Vishwakarma to keep their livelihoods secure. They pray for the smooth functioning of machines and refrain from using their tools on the day of Vishwakarma Puja. On this occasion, pictures and special statues of Lord Vishwakarma are installed in factories and workplaces.

G*i Jatra, The festival of cows is one of the most popular festivals in Nepal. It is said people in ancient time started worshiping Yamaraj,"the god of death" on this day.
As part of the festival, family members of the deceased of the past year send people mostly children, dressed as cows to parade on the streets.
This festival enables people to accept the reality of death and to prepare oneself for the life after death. It heals the grief and sorrow and make people realize that we are not alone in the country who lost our loved ones.
