One of Nepal’s longest and most iconic festivals, this grand chariot procession is celebrated for rain, prosperity, and community harmony. The towering wooden chariot—rising nearly 60 feet—begins its journey from Pulchowk and moves through the city over several weeks, drawing thousands of devotees filled with energy and devotion.

This is more than just a procession—it’s a living tradition where every pull of the rope carries centuries of faith, culture, and unity. The festival concludes with the famous Bhoto Jatra, where a sacred vest is displayed in a historic ceremony.❤️
