Phoolpati, the seventh day of Dashain, is the next important day after Ghatasthapana. The words phool and pati translate to flowers and leaves, respectively. On this day, Phoolpati, an assortment of nine different plants sacred to the Hindus, is brought to the Dashainghar in Hanumandhoka, Kathmandu from Jamal in a ritualistic procession. The Phoolpati, also known as Navapatriva, is also decorated outside the houses of Hindus since it is believed to bring good health, wealth, and prosperity. On this day, devotees also worship Kalaratri, one of the nine manifestations of goddess Durga.
