IGWR/Nepal was founded in 2002

Suraksha is a delightful young woman who dreams of becoming a Nurse. She joined IGWR Nepal in 2018, when she was in Grade 5.

Her father suffered a life-changing accident, leaving her family struggling, but she never stopped working hard for her future.
Now, Suraksha has the opportunity to study General Nursing and Midwifery in India. Her mother, who worked tirelessly at the Nepal-China border has managed to raise approx fifty percent of the needed funds.

We are halfway there. But more is needed. Our goal is for about twelve sponsors to each give just $1 per day and Suraksha can realise her dream. TOGETHER, we can create a wonderful future for Suraksha and her Family.

Our Story

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams

The name we adopted for IGWR, "In Giving We Receive", is quite profound, it suggests that what we are is a result of what we give.

And when we pause we might glimpse both the truth and the power of love, for love is not to be held or kept or contained, it is in the giving of love that love is actually experienced, we receive from the very act of giving.
