Zero to 8848 is a groundbreaking, award-winning documentary that tells the extraordinary story of a journey from the lowest point to the highest peak on Earth. Beginning at Kachankawal, Nepal, and rising to the summit of Mount Everest at 8,848 meters, the film explores a question never asked before: what is the shortest natural route from zero elevation to the top of the world?

More than a record-setting expedition, Zero to 8848 is a powerful human story of determination, endurance, and belief. Through breathtaking visuals, authentic moments, and real challenges faced along the way, the documentary captures the spirit of exploration and the deep connection between people, land, and ambition.

The film has received significant international recognition. Zero to 8848 is an award winner at the World Cannes Film Festival (France) in the Best Asian Film category and a winner of Best Feature at the Denver Monthly Film Festival. It was also selected as a finalist at the New York Village Film Festival, with more than 50 additional international film festival selections and results yet to be announced, reflecting its growing global impact.

Highlighting Nepal’s unique geography, culture, and resilience, the documentary showcases the physical and mental limits tested during this historic ascent. From fertile plains and remote villages to extreme alpine terrain and the thin air of Everest, every step forward is a testament to human courage and purpose.
