Big news from us this week!

Meet the Pulsoid: a new nanoparticle measurement system built around a precision-engineered, solid-state chip-based nanopore, delivering high-resolution, single-particle analysis in a fast, streamlined workflow.

For years, nanoparticle characterisation has meant choosing between analytical resolution and operational simplicity.
High-resolution, single-particle measurements required complex setup and specialist expertise. Simpler techniques delivered averaged data – and limited insight.

The Pulsoid removes that compromise.

Highlights:
🔹Single-particle size, concentration and zeta potential measurements
🔹Exceptionally accurate size measurement
🔹High-throughput, easy-to-learn workflow

Initially optimised for lipid nanoparticle researchers, the Pulsoid enables subtle formulation and stability-related changes to be monitored quickly and with clarity.

Beyond this initial focus, its underlying methodology – Nanopore Pulse Sensing (NPS) – supports a broader range of nanoparticle research wherever detailed insight into size, concentration and charge is required.

This is just the beginning. We look forward to seeing how researchers put the Pulsoid to work and extend its impact across new nanoparticle applications.

Getting to Know Bacterial Extracellular Vesicles: Heroes or Villains? 17/09/2025

Bacterial extracellular vesicles (BEVs) play a complex role in health and disease - from aiding infection and antibiotic resistance to supporting gut health and delivering therapeutics.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be releasing a series of articles exploring key areas of BEV research. First up: the basics of BEVs, from structure & function through to translation.
