Event Announcement!
The latest edition of our popular Hangar Talk series has been a rather hasty affair… hence the short notice.😁
Following on from a successful presentation at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, Steve Church is visiting NZ Warbirds and giving us his presentation "FIGHTER COMBAT WW2" on Sunday 07 May at 3pm.
The fighter pilots of WW2 were Steve's primary inspiration for wanting to be a pilot. In his forum, Steve's intention is to honour their accomplishments as aviators by explaining “how they did it”. Steve has been a pilot for 40 years. He flies professionally in a Phenom 300 and a King Air 350. His personal plane is a Vans RV-4.
Fighter Combat WW2 is an approximately one-hour presentation that includes the methods and tactics of WWII fighter pilots in an easy-to-understand way, with lots of visuals.
There are over 100 slides. Subjects include The Basics of Attack, basic air-to-air gunnery, fighter formations, and dogfighting.

Welcome to Warbird Adventure Rides Limited (WARL). Warbird Adventure Rides was established to provide enthusiasts the opportunity to experience flight in historic World War II aircraft. These rides are enabled under the New Zealand Civil Aviation Rule Part 115, a CAA initiative which controls all forms of Adventure Aviation in which we are a certificated operator to conduct Adventure Aviation flights. To the customer this ensures our operations are authorised by the CAA to ensure personal safety and strict compliance with NZ Civil Aviation Authority rules.
Warbird Adventure Rides offers the opportunity to fly in four iconic WW II aircraft: The North American T-6 Harvard, the Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk, the Supermarine Spitfire Tr.9 and the North American P-51D Mustang. All flights are approximately 25 minutes from which we operate from our home base at Ardmore Airport, Auckland, New Zealand. We cater to what you want to do flying wise whether that is scenic-straight and level flying, aerobatics or both. This is your flight and we will tailor it to your requirements.
