After a very kind winter ,spring arrived with all the cards in its deck from heavy rain,snow and cold winds!! Just in time for lambing 🙄. Thankfully the ewes and lambs have been doing well and the grass supplies are holding in there. Everyone looking forward to some warm calm days.

Winter isn’t always a quiet time of year!! July is when we pre lamb shear the ewes (with a cover comb so they don’t get too cold). Wool is such an amazing undervalued product both fire resistant and biodegradable. It’s an added extra product coming off our ewes such a shame plastics have pushed most of it off the clothing shelves 😞.The girls are then all ready to scan and we can get an idea of how many lambs we will have skipping around in a couple of months time. Bring on spring!!!!

Our sheep are grass fed all year. No synthetic fertilisers are applied to our paddocks. We source our sires locally that are adapted for local conditions have good mothering abilities and survivability and most importantly quality meat production. A content and happy animal is a good producer and our aim is to keep and maintain high living standards for all our animals. Consequently we are rewarded with a quality product with as little impact to our surrounding environment’s ecosystem. Healthy soil,healthy farm,healthy animals, healthy produce. 😌👍
