Our little Giraffes have officially reached ZEN MODE. 🧘♂️✨
Parents, you might not have noticed… but Giraffe ELC has been secretly transforming into a Zen sanctuary! 🏯✨
That’s right, While you were busy wondering why your child suddenly started saying "Namaste" before bedtime, we’ve been practicing yoga and meditation with the children on a regular basis. And now, the results are in:
✅ Inner peace unlocked (or at least, a solid 30 seconds of stillness before the wiggles return).
✅ Noise levels down – because a calm mind means fewer spontaneous dinosaur roars in the hallway. 🦖🔇
✅ Deep breaths in, deep breaths out – and yes, some extra-long inhales of the morning baking aroma. 🍪😆
Did you ever think a centre with 110 children could be quieter than your living room with just one or two? Well, next time you walk into Giraffe, take a moment to notice: the gentle scent of candle, the relaxing jazz in the background, and the shockingly peaceful atmosphere. You might even wonder… “Wait, did I just step into a spa?” 🧖♀️
A huge shoutout to our amazing Kaiako for leading these mindfulness sessions, turning even our tiniest tots into Zen masters in training. (And if you missed it, check out our previous post to witness the ultimate serious concentration baby face – possibly cuter than a baby Kiwi )

With deep breaths and calming music, we embarked on a mission to find our inner peace... or at least sit still for more than 30 seconds (a true early childhood miracle! 🙌).
One thing that Giraffe ELC can claim - we are now officially the most flexible early learning centre in town 🏆😂

Today, our little athletes took on their first-ever Playball session, and wow – what a blast. 🚀 From hopping through hoops to mastering some serious coordination moves, the little giraffes gave it their all with determination, laughter, and a little bit of “oops, I missed that hoop” moments! 😂
💪 What did we see?
✔️ Epic jumping, balancing, and dodging – future Common Wealth athletes in the making 🏆
✔️ Loads of teamwork and leadership – because real champions lift each other up 🤝
✔️ The cutest game faces ever – some serious Playball intensity going on 🏀🔥
Huge shoutout to our amazing coaches and follow Kaiako at Giraffe ELC for making it so engaging and exciting – and to our little ones for showing up ready to roll, jump, and giggle their way through it all 😆

🌳🎨🍎 Totara's Great Park Adventure! 🍎🎨🌳
Today, our awesome Totara tamariki went on a grand expedition to the local park! 🚀✨ There, they did what all great explorers do—had a delicious morning tea, sang their hearts out, and created masterpieces of art that could rival the Mona Lisa (or at least make it onto our fridge!).
But wait—there's more! 📚 Our little word wizards also discovered some new words for their early literacy journey, proving once again that learning is best served with a side of sunshine and snacks. 🌞🍞
The pride on their faces as they showed off their artwork? Absolutely priceless. 🖼️💛 And we, as their Kaiako, couldn’t be prouder!
