Happy 71st birthday to the 1976 Olympic fencing champion, the man who elevated the Olympic Movement to new heights as the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach.

On behalf of the Olympic-style boxing community, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude for saving our sport for Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. This was incredibly important for boxers who trained tirelessly every day to achieve their ultimate goal - to represent their country and win an Olympic gold medal.

At the end of March 2025, your 12 years as President will come to an end. I’d like to wish you all the best as you embark on a new chapter in life, Thomas.
