Long as you keep trying and keep pushing, you'll keep growing and doing/getting better. DON'T RUSH!! There's no need to rush yourself because of what you see others doing.

Remember when Pikachu had to fight that Raichu and Ash gave him the choice to evolve in order to beat him. But Pika, in all his tenacity, refused to do it. Yeah he got his ass kicked at first... it's important not to forget that part... BUT he learned from the experience and got better!! In the end, he defeated Raichu because be learnt something that Raichu never did, Quick Attack.

All because Raichu evolved too soon.
So! Take your time. Learn all that you can in the place that you are, on the level that you are. When you're ready to evolve, at YOUR own pace, no one can take that from you.
