This was a rather special one for a special human who was celebrating his *cough cough* EIGHTIETH birthday! I first met Bob, my best friend’s Dad, 32 years ago. He would have been about 5 years older than I am now at the time. And that fact blows my mind. It was my absolute pleasure to create a cake for him and there was not one morsel left at the end of this monster of a cake. It was my lemon cake layered with lemon curd, vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream (thanks ) with some personalised toppers made with my trusty Cricut. I got to make more rice sails (they’re so cool and so effective!) and use all gold sprinkles, glitter and dust. All the things I love. Happy Birthday, Bob. I should mention - this was also Blake’s very first time being trusted cake holder in the car - he was so stoked!!!
